Quick question.

I thought I saw somewhere that by taking vitamins and staying in good physical condition, you may be able to hold off the onset of the disease by a few years.

Could anyone shed some light on this topic?
I still have not been tested, but I would like to get a head start now.
Regardless if I don't have it, it's always nice to be healthy :]

I guess my questions are:
-Is that legit?
-If so, what kind of vitamins would be good to take?

Thank you!

Co-Q10 is taken every day. I use it as I find I think more clearly with them - I call them my brain pills!

I got tested about three years ago now. Took a while (over a year) as I moved home during the process. It was a very scary time but I felt it was well worth the trouble. My test came back clear but even if it hadn't I would have wanted to know. My dad is in the late stages of this horrible disease now and every time I see him a little bit more of him is gone.

I would have wanted to be prepared for that. So did my brother (he was clear too). My sister, on the other hand, hasn't yet been tested and refuses to even talk to dad. She's hiding her head in the sand and I can understand that, sort of. Unfortunately, she has children so, one day, she will have to face up to it. If she doesn't, it will be down to me to tell them the facts so that they can make the choice to be tested themselves.

Good luck for the future. Stay strong.
